Route Six,试着唱出来
把之前写的 Route Six 和 Noema 一起改成了一首歌。
Friday night, after nine.
Shop light spills across my knees.
Steam lifts off a bowl of rice;
someone eats beside the till.
I don’t know where to go tonight
so I let the bus decide.
All those rooms are warm behind the glass.
Their lights slide past. I stay a while.
On my knees, a folded page.
The ink has faded at the edge.
I still know the steps by heart,
where the pencil used to pause.
There’s a name beside the working,
half beneath an old thumbprint.
The answers have not changed at all.
Only the years have gone.
I don’t know where to go tonight
so I let the bus decide.
All those rooms are warm behind the glass.
Their lights slide past. I stay a while.
No one here knows what I’m proving.
A streetlight falls across the page.
It slips away as we keep moving;
the ink stays where it starts to fade.
I don’t know where to go tonight
so I let the bus decide.
All those rooms are warm behind the glass.
Their lights slide past. I stay a while.
A stop I know comes into sight.
My hand rests where the paper bends.
I leave the bell alone tonight
and watch the light until it ends.
